Who are we ?

Accomplir Consulting was born from the meeting between Pierre Beurrier and Cédric Martin, both from the humanitarian world. They met for the first time in 1998 in the office of the director of operations of MSF Belgium. Cédric left as head of mission in Somalia while Pierre coordinated the Somalia-Sudan-Kenya-Angola desk. They worked together for more than a year and started a very complementary collaboration between the field and the headquarters.

After a mission in China and three years in Pierre's place at headquarters on the East Africa desk, Cédric returned to the field, to Peru and India. As for Pierre, he took a Master's degree in International Humanitarian Law, before returning to the field in Gaza and starting a "health" career in a hospital department.

Their paths crossed again in 2007, this time around the reorganisation of the operations department of MSF Switzerland and the transformation of its governance.

They realised that they shared a deep desire to improve the impact of humanitarian organisations. In 2009, they decided to create Accomplir consulting. The team has since grown in a network approach.

Today, Accomplir Consulting represents :

• Three areas of intervention: Humanitarian - Health - Environment
• 12 senior consultants based in 4 countries (France, Spain, Denmark, UK)
• More than 100 projects carried out in 60 countries

The acceleration of technological, societal and environmental change, coupled with high expectations in terms of quality, accountability, efficiency and safety, is forcing organisations to rethink their strategy and the way they operate. Our objective is to help international associations and NGOs, SMEs and health institutions to transition to sustainable, economically viable, socially just and environmentally friendly development models.

We accompany organisations in their positive transformation processes and the development of their projects. We help them to find tailor-made solutions, adapted to their problems. We optimise the impact of their operational activities, advance their social and environmental approach and improve their relations with their colleagues and stakeholders.

We are committed to putting people at the centre of our support approach and to co-constructing change, because we believe that this is the only way to make it both effective and sustainable.

We draw our strengths from our long multidisciplinarity experience in the field and our diversity. Each of us brings his or her own skills and experience of specific countries, contexts and problems, as well as knowledge of languages and professional networks. We are flexible, responsive, adaptable and available, which allows us to find the right consultant(s) to meet our partners' needs every time!

Our added value also lies in our hybrid nature. Many of us have worked in the humanitarian sector. This field experience has largely forged our identity, our shared values and our pragmatism. We also draw on managerial skills from the business world, as they help us to better structure and organise the functioning of organisations.

Together, we link their strategy and issues to their operational and organisational processes, in order to maximise their impact in a positive and sustainable way.

Crises have a greater impact on women and girls, and other factors, such as age, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity or religion can exacerbate these vulnerabilities. We promote equal rights and opportunities for all, with a view to empowerment and efficiency.

INDEPENDENCE

We are independent of all types of political, religious or financial interests. Only the interests of the populations targeted by our partners influence our decisions.

Accomplir Consulting is an association that pools our knowledge, skill and tools to improve quality of services. Each consultant is a member of the association. Together we elect a board of directors which is reinforced by a strategic committee of three co-opted members.

• Béatrice GODEFROY, former Deputy Executive Director of MSF and CEO Europe of CIVIC (Civilians in Conflicts), shares her in-depth knowledge of the humanitarian world and its evolution.
• Marc HERMANT, Director of Human Resources in the hospital sector, shares his expertise in team management and human resources development.  
• Alexis HENDRICKX's expertise in financial management, in a variety of complex and multinational environments, is also very useful.

The Strategic Committee meets at least once a year. We present our projects, our results and our development strategy to them. Together, they give us a mirror effect on the cohesion of our team, our expertise and our development model. This external, benevolent and impartial view contributes to reinforcing the added value of the actions we carry out.
